One of the most popular breakfast pastries in the Salento region is the "pasticciotto", a pastry filled with cooked vanilla custard. And while there's no doubt that breakfast in an Italian bar is captivating for the atmosphere alone, there's nothing like a meal in the garden.
When she has time, Ivana makes sugar-free almond pasta, golden taralli and other fruity specialities for breakfast, but the unpredictability of gardening doesn't always allow it. But they always stick to meals in the garden. This is possible at several points in the garden. In the morning in the shade of the African love-flowers and pomegranates, at noon in the safe shelter of the garden arbour, among the olive trees of the guest house, among the vines and palms, or on the side of the vegetable garden.
